How does FoodShare work?
Sellers create a weekly or periodic round with available products and quantities, and generate a link which they share with customers. Customers place their orders through the link, and once the round closes, the seller processes and delivers or arranges pickup.
Who can use Foodshare as a seller?
Foodshare is designed for small to medium food businesses, ethnic grocery stores, and individual sellers who already take orders through channels like WhatsApp or phone.
How do I get started as a seller?
You can sign up and create your first order round; set up is easy. You can also get support from the Foodshare team. We are available to help you set up your products, pricing, and order flow
Do I need technical skills to use Foodshare?
No. Foodshare is designed to be simple and easy to use. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use Foodshare. Help materials and Foodshare support are available to guide you through setup.
How do I create rounds?
You create a product or select from a list with quantities (portions), generate a link, and share it with your customers via WhatsApp or other channels.
Can I control how much stock I sell?
Yes. You set the number of portions available for each item. Once they are sold out, customers can no longer order that item.
How do I manage orders and payments?
You can manage your orders in one place via the seller dashboard on the platform. This helps reduce back-and-forth messages and keeps everything super organised.
Who handles delivery?
Sellers manage the delivery or pickup arrangements with buyers. At the moment, Foodshare helps process the orders and payments; we will let you know as soon as our logistics service becomes available.
Can I still sell in-store while using Foodshare?
Yes. You can continue your normal operations. You just need to manage how much stock you allocate to online orders vs in-store sales.
What if my customers have issues placing orders?
You can assist them directly to place their order, and our team is also available to help resolve any technical issues quickly.

Is there a fee to use Foodshare?
Foodshare charges a subscription fee for sellers and a transaction fee to buyers. Sellers have the option of removing the transaction fee from buyers.
